Approximately 30 school leaders and lawmakers gathered in Tennessee for the Leaders and Lawmakers Happy Hour, hosted by FCCS, TennesseeCan, and the Nashville Charter Collaborative.

Every child deserves a quality education. At National School Choice Week (NSCW), we help families discover the traditional public, public charter, public magnet, private, online, and home education options available for their children. National School Choice Week will take place January 21-27, 2024.

During the event, Houston’s leaders addressed a range of critical issues including community and family engagement, funding, leadership development, language and learning, early childhood education, universal pre-K, special education, and school operations.

Join us to celebrate National Charter Schools Week from May 12-18, 2024 as we honor the 8,000 public charter schools, 251,000 dedicated teachers, and hundreds of lawmakers who serve and advocate for about 4 million learners - nearly 70% who are students of color and 59% who are eligible for free and reduced-price lunch.

Each month, we bring together school leaders and policy staff nationwide to explore the charter school landscape, share insights on regional policies, and discuss how we can collaborate and support one another.
