Dear FCCS Family,
With 2025 in full swing, we are excited to bring you our newly formatted bimonthly newsletter about the critical work happening across our network. From policy shifts to grassroots advocacy, our commitment to educational equity remains stronger than ever.
In February, FCCS launched School Advocacy Days in Georgia, advocating for funding equity and capital improvements for charter schools. We also co-hosted an education town hall in Texas, with our affiliate school Beatrice Mays Institute.
In March, we’ve been tracking federal education policy shifts—including Linda McMahon’s confirmation as Secretary of Education and the Trump administration’s decision to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education—ensuring our schools, families, and students are informed and supported. We are also excited to introduce our School Choice Report, a must-read for families and policymakers, breaking down what true school choice means beyond just vouchers.
Finally, FCCS continues amplifying the incredible work of leaders of color across the country! Follow us on LinkedIn and social media to explore success stories like:
